This image shows superb shapes and fine textures of molecular clouds, dust, and dark nebulae in the constellation Cepheus, just 9° from Polaris. One of the largest is catalogued as LBN569. They are part of a large complex of dust and dark clouds known as IFN (Integrated Flux Nebulae). These objects are very faint, so I imaged them under dark skies, travelling two nights over the Austrian and Italian Alps.
