The Montes Apenninus are a mountain range on the Moon. The range is located on the nearside and forms the southeast edge of Mare Imbrium and the northwest edge of Terra Nivium. It extends for approximately 600 kilometer, with the highest peak being Mount Huygens, which, at 5500 meter, is also the highest mountain on the Moon.
