NGC 6503 (commonly known as »Lost in Space«) is a dwarf spiral galaxy located at the edge of a region called the Local Empty: it does not belong to a group or cluster of galaxies and is therefore gravitationally isolated. It has a diameter of 30000 light-years and is located in the constellation Draco, about 18 million light-years from Earth.
