Comet C/2025 R3 PanSTARRS continues to appear in our skies, increasing in brightness. Its fascinating tail also increases. In this image, I captured it over the splendid Ortigia, the historic center of Syracuse, at first light while the city is still asleep.
Technical details:
Nikon D750 - Samyang 85mm f/1.4 - star tracker
Sky: 50 shots of 10 seconds - ISO 400 - f/4 (from 5:00 AM to 5:16 AM) with star tracker.
Terrain-sea: 3 shots in HDR ISO 400 - f/11 1.6 seconds, 6 seconds, 10 seconds.
