Diese Reaktion kann durch die <A href='\/abo\/lexikon\/ern\/3115'>Fols&#228;ure-Antagonisten<\/A> Aminopterin und Methotrexat blockiert werden, die somit den f&#252;r die Biosynthese der Purine und Pyrimidine wichtigen C1-Stoffwechsel hemmen.
