Streptomyces-Arten
Fam.: Streptomycetaceae, eine der acht Hauptfamilien der Ordnung Actinomycetales. S.-Arten sind sporenbildende, grampositive Bakterien mit ausgeprägter Tendenz zur Bildung von Luft- und Substratmycel.
Vork.: weltweit im Erdboden, in Gewässern und Insekten.
Anw.: S.-Arten sind Produzenten bedeutsamer Antibiotika mit dem breitesten Spektrum an Sekundärstoffen. Wichtige Beispiele sind in der Tabelle aufgeführt.
