Arp 286 is a group of 3 interacting galaxies in the constellation Virgo. At the center is the large, yellowish, barred spiral galaxy NGC 5566, with two broad spiral arms; at the top left is the small, blue spiral galaxy NGC 5569; and at the top right is NGC 5560, a multicolored spiral galaxy apparently elongated and distorted by its interaction with NGC 5566. The estimated distance is between 65 and 487 million light-years.
