For this sequence of four shots, I decided to return to a place dear to me, where I've already attempted similar shots over the years. It's always a lottery, as the weather conditions must be perfect to achieve the goal. The shooting location, Punta Castellazzo near Porto Ulisse in the Ispica area (RG), Italy, is more than 9 kilometers from Isola delle Correnti, and at that distance, turbulence and a few low clouds could completely ruin the result. But everything went well, and the »Micro Blue Moon« revealed itself in all its splendor, rising behind the small lighthouse. I'll point out the change in color and brightness of the moon as it rises, due to the thermal gradient that deflects the light and allows only certain components of its spectrum to pass through.
